Abstract (EN)
In this study, Euclidean, Taxicab and Chinese Checkers distance concepts in two and three dimensional space are discussed. The distance calculations between two points are examined, and the distance of a point to a line and a plane are detailed. The subject is clarified with examples for each type of distance. In addition, the distance of a given point to the circle in Euclidean, Taxicab and Chinese Checkers planes is clarified with examples. In the last section, some properties about the Chinese Checkersphere are given and the distance between a point in the three-dimensional Chinese Checkerspace and the Chinese Checkersphere is analyzed. In addition, the distance of a point to the Chinese Dama sphere is analyzed in detail with the planes in the first region of the sphere and explained with examples.
