Abstract (EN)
From the establishment of People?s Republic of China to 1978 China had limited relation with other countries. Due to limited relation and the small size of economy China was not on focus. At the end of 1978 China entered a new era that launched reforms. During the open door and reforms period, China?s relation with other countries and integration into the world economy radically changed. With reforms period, China has been the fastest growing economy in the world. China?s economic performance, transformation and integration into the global economy mostly analysed recent years. This research aims to analyse the development of China?s economy and effects on the Turkey?s foreign trade.Accession to the WTO is the most important milestone for China and the world economy in 2001. After 2001 China?s increased market share has begun to determine and formalize the world trade. While China?s market share increasing worldwide, its size and rapid growth creates challenges for some countries. One of these countries is Turkey. On the export side, China is competitor in many markets. On the import side, China?s demand for raw materials creates higher prices. Turkey?s rapidly increasing foreign trade deficit with China is another problem.
