Relations between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Djibouti

Even though the history of the relations of the People's Republic of China with the Republic of Djibouti goes back to the period when this state discovered and recognized the region, the beginning of bilateral relations dates back to the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1979. Initially, bilateral relations started with the establishment of diplomatic relations, but later on, the development of these relations accelerated. In this context, the primary purpose of the thesis is to examine the relationship between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Djibouti in the fields of political, economic, military, education, and health, and to determine the level of these relations. In this context, the scope of this thesis is to examine the developments since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Djibouti in 1979, and also to determine the importance of this state for the People's Republic of China due to the influence of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Djibouti. Especially in the last twenty years, the development of bilateral relations has accelerated and turned towards cooperation, and later on, it has reached the level of strategic partnership. In this context, the inference made from the development of bilateral relations is the cooperation and strategic partnership between these two states.
