Analysis of China's national security problems from the perspective of neorealism

The main purpose of the research is to determine how China's security policies and its role in international relations can be understood within the framework of neorealism. The focus is on the evolution from realism to neorealism, the historical development of China's security approach, and the role of neorealism in this process. This analysis shows how neorealism applies to power dynamics and state behavior in international relations. The research was conducted using qualitative analysis methods. China's historical and current political documents, leaders' speeches and international relations literature were examined in detail. This methodology has provided an in-depth understanding of China's security policies. The findings revealed that China's security policies and foreign policy decisions are compatible with the basic principles of neorealism. These policies have been shown to have a significant impact on the balance of power at both regional and global levels. Additionally, it is concluded that China's role in the international system and its approach to regional security problems can be effectively analyzed within the framework of neorealism. This research reveals the critical perspective provided by neorealism theory in understanding and evaluating China's national security policies and its role in international relations. It is possible to better understand and predict China's future security strategies and its position in international politics within this theoretical framework. The importance of this research provides an in-depth understanding of China's rapidly growing global influence and regional security policies. China plays an increasingly prominent role in world politics and affects the international balance of power. This situation has important consequences for both regional and global security and shapes policies around the world. Understanding China's national security approach and policies is vital to better grasp these changes and their impacts. The main reason I chose this topic is that neorealism offers a strong theoretical framework for understanding the behavior of states in the international system. Neorealism provides an ideal approach to analyze China's strategies and decision-making processes in the international arena, with concepts such as balance of power, security competition, and interstate relations. Additionally, this study also provides an opportunity to better understand China's stance on important regional issues such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, the South China Sea and East Turkestan.
