Abstract (EN)

In this study, silane film was formed on zinc metal and magnesium-aluminum alloys. In different concentrations for the formation of the silane film (%5, %10, %20) at room conditions (25 ℃) and at different pH values (pH=3, pH=10) chloro dimethyl silane and vinyltriethoxy silane solutions were prepared. Prepared solutions were prepared by sol-gel method in alcohol and water. Direct dipping and cyclic voltammetry coating methods were used to form the silane film. The study was carried out at different times (15, 30,45, 60 minutes) for zinc metal and magnesium-aluminum alloys. After the optimum processing conditions were determined, the corrosion behavior of zinc metal and magnesium-aluminum alloys was monitored in artificial rain water. For this purpose, Rp values were calculated with the help of corrosion potentials and linear polarization measurements. In addition, AC impedance measurements were made for both electrodes. For the morphology of the silane film formed, SEM analyzes and contact angle measurements of the coatings formed with the most stable silane film were made. .As a result, the most stable silane film against corrosion was formed by the cyclic voltammetry method for the zinc electrode, while the magnesium-aluminum alloy was formed by the sol-gel method for the electrode.
