Abstract (EN)
The impact on the emotional labor of individuals working in the service sector in Turkey has been investigated by gender orientation. A questionnaire was applied to 398 people within the scope of the research. The collected data were carried out with IBM SPSS Statistic 26 IBM AMOS 23 package programs and R Studio 3.6.2 software, the data were analyzed and comments were given. As a result of the research, it has been determined that gender orientations are effective on emotional labor and its sub-dimensions. It has been observed that the deep behavioral tendencies of the participants vary according to their gender roles. It has been found that androgynous individuals apply more profound behavioral strategies than indeterminate individuals. In addition, in the analysis of demographic variables, it was found that single individuals with an uncertain gender role had higher levels of emotional labor, superficial behavior and emotion suppression than married individuals. Likewise, it has been observed that individuals with uncertain gender roles have higher surface behavior levels than employees with 1-5 years of seniority.
