Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, water quality properties of Cip Dam Lake (Elazığ) in relation to physical and chemical parameters were investigated. For this purpose water samples were collected at monthly intervals for a period of six months between January 2018-June 2018. Water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and secchi depth were measured directly in study area whilst chemical analysis such as total nitrogen, total phosphorus, nitrite, nitrate, sulfate and chemical oxygen demand were carried out in laboratory by means of cell test through a spectrophotometer. Salinity was determined in accordance with methods in APHA (1995). According to the Water Pollution Control Regulation for Inland Water Resources, study results showed that Cip Dam Lake should be classified as class I (high quality water) in terms of all parameters except total phosphorus values (II/III class, less polluted). High COD value may be accepted as the existence of organic pollution in the lake.
