Abstract (EN)
SUMMARY The Effect of Panax Ginseng on Cell Death in Adult Male Rats with Testis Injury with Cisplatin Infertility has become an important health problem which is increasing due to genetic, familial, hormonal causes, congenital abnormalities, environmental and chemical reasons. In our study, we aimed to evaluate the degree of preservation of testicular damage induced by cisplatin in different panax doses. A total of 35 rats were used in the study. Control group, CP group (7 mg / kg), Panax group (200 mg / kg), Dose: 1 (CP + panax (200 mg / kg)), Dose: 2 (CP + panax (300 mg / kg)), İn each group 7 animals were divided into 5 groups. At the end of the experiment, body and testis weight measurements of the groups were performed. Histopathologically, Johnsen scoring was performed and seminiferous tubule diameters were measured. Apoptotic cells were stained by TUNEL staining. Biochemical test, free testosterone, total testosterone, TAS, TOS levels were measured and OSI was calculated. As a result, CP has caused significant damage to the testicular tissue. Seminiferous tubule diameters were enlarged and the number of apoptotic cells increased. Total and free testosterone levels were also decreased in this group. Panax administration and CP administered groups showed that both apoptosis decreased and testosterone level increased especially in the Dose 1 group. Apoptosis was significantly decreased in spermatogenic series cells in dose 2 group, but apoptosis in Leydig cells was not significantly decreased as in dose 1. Testosterone levels also increased partially. TAS levels were also higher in Dose 1 than Dose 2. In our study, it is determined that Panax significantly protects CP related damage up to a certain dose threshold, but further studies are needed to investigate the protective effect of this antioxidant.
