Cittaslow Movement and the example of Seferihisar: An analysis in the context of agriculture, labor, property relations and place

Along with the globalization, changing agricultural, food, urban has brought change and transformation in many countries worldwide and local units of theWorld. In this process of global capitalism, capital and neoliberal policies being influential to a considerable extent, the lives of individuals and societies have been abandoned to free market conditions. The movements opposed to this process showed different reactions to different geographies in the same period. In this study, the Slow Food movement, which started in Italy against global food and agricultural capital, and the socio-economic effects of the Cittaslow movement, which is the relative movement of its existence in the urban level, are discussed. The main objective of the study is to analyze the effects and transformations of agriculture, labor, property relations and place specificity with the criteria and practices that the example of the movement of Seferihisar started in Turkey in 2009.With the movement to Seferihisar and the implementation of relative projects, the agricultural change experienced in the district is important in the context of the processes of local people's taking part in economic life and revealing the potentials of people living locally. The movement presents a new model against globalization and capital for small cities. In this process, the relations between the property and the space are the concepts that should be given special importance.
