Abstract (EN)

B.C. The Assyrian State, whose foundations were laid in 2000, not only expanded its borders, thanks to the trade network it established with Anatolia, but also became the only power in Mesopotamia. The Assyrian State, which gained strength in the region, had a palace built by every king who ascended the throne, especially in the New Assyrian Period, in order to show its power to the public and its enemies. Palaces are the most magnificent structures of the state. They paid attention to the huge and ornate structures. We learn about the palaces from royal inscriptions and archaeological remains. It gives information about the sociological, economic and politics of the palaces period. Despite the powerful empire of the period, it was a great shortcoming that the palaces, which were the symbols of the empire, were not examined. In this study, a small attempt has been made to fill this gap. In our study, firstly, information about the architecture of the palaces was given and then determinations were made about the period and the Assyrian Empire from the palace reliefs. The number of parts of the palaces and what features they have were also mentioned, and finally, the people of the palace were discussed and it was clarified what kind of social life was in the palace. Key Words: Assyrian, Palace, Art, King, Queen
