Özet (EN)

This research is an experimental study carried out with intent to introduce the effect of science-fiction stories developed by comics technique, on creative thinking skills and physics attitudes of 11 th grade students. The research was carried out with 30 students enrolled at an Anatolian High School in Aydın, during the first semester of the 2012-2013 school year. The classroom, where the application would be made, was determined randomly. In the research, some science-fiction stories developed by comics technique was used as training materials. In this study, the Divergent Thinking Scale (DTS) developed by Williams (1980) was used to measure the students' creative thinking skills; and the Physics Attitude Scale developed by Naçalcı, Akarsu and Kariper (2011, p:1-6) was used to measure their physics attitudes. In addition, the open-ended questions is about " relativity" and space- time" addressed to the students before the application were addressed again at the end of the application, and the responses were compared. The data are were analyzed through the packaged software SPSS 17.0, by use of some statistical methods, such as arithmetic mean, standard deviation, related samples, t-test and wilcoxon singed rank test. According to the results of this study; a significant difference was found between the post-test and pre-test Physics Attitude Scale scores of the participant students; and between the post-test and pre-test Creative Thinking Skills scores of the participant students. The sub-dimensions of creative thinking skills, flexibility, originality and elaboration dimensions pretest scores found no significant difference. We also managed to students prior to the application for definitions of the basic concepts of modern physics topics open-ended questions, the responses were compared with post-implementation and post-implementation concepts better than students can describe it is concluded The research was concluded with the recommendations suited to the findings The study was developed with the technique of science fiction comics stories related to the topics of modern physics concepts, transfer, and physical development of students' creative thinking skills to reach the conclusion that a material which can be used to increase due to the attitudes of teachers and researchers terminated with appropriate proposals.
