Abstract (EN)
Our country is located in an active earthquake zone where earthquake ground movements are active and hundreds of earthquakes occur every year. Damages and collapses occur in buildings due to earthquakes. There are many buildings in which most of the buildings in our country's stocks are not built in accordance with the earthquake-resistant building design philosophy, and performance analyzes need to be made for these buildings. In our country, due to architectural concerns and economic reasons, it is desired to gain space on the first floors of the buildings with the application of closed overhangs. It is necessary to examine the seismic performance conditions of closed overhang applications. In addition, the use of places such as offices, shops, markets, or warehouses on the ground floors of the buildings is commonly constructed in our country. The earthquake performance of the infill walls, which are not located on the ground floor of the buildings constructed in this way, should also be examined. In buildings without infill walls on the ground floor, irregularities such as weak floors and soft floors occur. In this study, fifteen reinforced concrete building models with five different overhang rates and depending on the infill wall condition on the ground floor; linear analysis, time history analysis, and static pushover analysis were performed. In line with the results obtained, reinforcement methods with steel braces and shear walls were applied to the building models that do not have infill walls on the ground floor. In the analyzed building models; base shear force, period, relative story drift, soft-story condition, load-displacement graphs, and time displacement graphs were obtained.
