Abstract (EN)

In this work, Claude Debussy's violin and piano sonata has been approached with a structuralist perspective. The elements that make up a structure are individual units. However, these units make sense when they come together, not alone, and give rise to a structure. How Claude Debussy reached a holistic structure from a small element was examined. Motifs, sentences and the exhibition, development and result parts consisting of them are in no way randomly formed; it has been proved by detailed analysis that each formation is constructed in a conscious and organized manner. In the first part of this thesis as a result of all these analyzes, it was revealed how a work should be grasped with its formal features and how it should be thought and interpreted in a holistic structure. In the light of this information, it is aimed that the sonata gains a different meaning and opens a new way for the performers Keywords: Debussy, Sonata, Violin, Piano, Structure.
