Abstract (EN)
In this thesis work, the musical structures of traditional Çıldır minstrelsy have been studied with a method which started with a wider focus in the region and then became more Çıldır specific. Firstly, major studies and detections on the Azerbaycan region where Kars, Artvin, Erzurum, and Georgia belongs to and which is influenced by the culture of Çıldır from other academicians and researchers have been examined. Video and voice recordings have been done with the detected Şenlik branch minstrelsy from the region by face to face contact. Other gathered voice and video recordings of the poet-singers from Çıldır hawe been investigated in order to analyze the melodies, melodic structures and methods have been sorted and note analysis have been written down. Addition to that, melodic propositions and approaches have been spesified and identified according to the Classical Turkish Music maqam attributes. At the last section, minstrelsy Şenlik stories have been explained while examining which of the minstrelsy have been sung by the minstrelsy.
