Abstract (EN)

In this study, the parasite presences of parasites on 49 Cobitis simplicispinna from Pınarbaşı spring water, Turkey were investigated between September 2009 and October 2011. Three parasite species were determined in the host fishes: 267 Gyrodactylus cobitis (%58.0, 9.2±10.1) was found on gill branches and fins of the host fish specimens; 116 Crowcrocoecum skrjabini (%58, 4.0±3.7) and 198 Acanthocephala sp. (%86, 4.6±3.5) were found in intestine of the host fish. Among these species, Crowcrocoecum skrjabini is a new record for parasite fauna of Turkey, and the other two species are new records for the present study area. As a result of this, a new locality has been added to geographical invasions of the parasite species. In addition, minimum-maximum and mean intensity of parasites and infection prevalence were determined using seasonal data, size and sex distribution of the host fish. Key Words: Cobitis simplicispinna, Crowcrocoecum skrjabini, Gyrodactylus cobitis
