Abstract (EN)
TThe C axis function of the CNC Lathe will be used to drill holes in AISI 4140 steel material. Hole drilling process is carried out at two different cutting speeds (Vc = 30 m/min., 40 m/min.). 0.075mm/rev. Surface roughness will be measured by drilling holes at the feed rate. Three different cutting tool materials will be used in the experiments. Cutting will be carried out with HSS (high speed steel), solid carbide and PM (powder metallurgical) drills. 4 pieces will be processed for each cutting tool material, 20 pieces on the flange part of AISI 4140 material. Half of these experiments will be carried out with a selected experimental parameter and the other half with the other experimental parameter. Thus, it is aimed to investigate the effects on surface roughness by drilling 2 pieces for each experiment and a total of 40 pieces.
