Abstract (EN)
This study is constructed in three chapters. In the first chapter, it is expressed a historical analysis of production functions and works found on geometric properties of the production functions. Some fundamental definitions and theorems used in thesis are also given. In chapter two, theory of production and the properties of production functions are investigated. Chapter three from the original part of thesis. In chapter three, Cobb-Douglas and ACMS production functions and their associated surfaces are investigated in to several subsections. Firstly, the results are obtained according to relationship between the return to scale of Cobb-Douglas production function and Gaussian curvature of the associated surface. The connections are made according to relationship between the production elasticity of Cobb-Douglas production function and the mean curvature of the associated surface. Then the results are found according to relationship between return to scale of ACMS production functions and Gaussian curvature of their associated surfaces. Similarly the relationships between the production elasticity of ACMS production functions and mean curvature of the surface.
