Values in children's literature

Value is an important source of power that the attitude and behavior. Children' s literature Works, which serve as a bridge in meeting the values that are effective in shaping an individual, a generation, a society, have an important position. For this purpose, in this study, it is aimed to determine the values in the most read domestic and translation children' s boks. For this purpose, 3 domestic and 3 translation children' s books suitable for middle school level, which are common in Kitapyurdu, Kidega and D&R' s bestseller list, are determined. The values in these books have been determined in line with Schwartz' value classification. This study is a qualitative study and document analysis method was used. In the analysis of the data, content analysis was used. At the end of this study, it has been determined that domestic and translation children' s books are rich in values.
