Özet (EN)

This research aimed to study the socialization of children staying in orphanages. Orphanages are a service provided by the government to ensure that children who do not have an appropriate family environment are brought into society as healthy individuals cognitively, mentally and emotionally. Unless otherwise noted, every individual is a child up to the age of 18 and the state is obliged to implement the necessary sanctions and measures as the protector of children in accordance with its own constitution and the international conventions to which it is a party to. The starting point of the research is that the nursing home model is widespread sufficiently and many studies have been carried out on this subject. Different studies on the same subject may face the problem of repetition, but the aim of these studies is to provide a better life opportunity for children, and an analysis of the studies on this subject may help to clarify the current situation and guide future research. An improvement in the socialization process of the children is needed, and can be achieved by identifying what should be done to ensure that children have better living conditions. A total of 4 sources were used in the study. One of them is a doctoral thesis, while the remaining three are master's theses. As a result of this research, further study on the effect of children's houses on social cohesion was sought. However, a satisfactory amount of research material could not be found on the specific subject matter investigated. Therefore, the necessary analyses were performed on the evaluation criteria by selecting the studies that would explicitly meet the research topic.
