Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to examine the attitudes and behaviors of nurses working in the pediatric clinic regarding evidence-based nursing practices. The study was carried out with the general survey model, one of the quantitative research methods. The study was carried out with 92 participants selected by simple random sampling method. The 15-item Evidence-Based Attitude Scale towards Nursing was used as a data collection tool in the study. SPSS 22.0 (Statistical package for the Social Sciences) was used in the data analysis of the study. While analyzing the data, validity and reliability analysis, normality analysis, frequency and percentages, independent groups t-test and one-way variance test were performed. The Evidence-Based Attitude Scale towards Nursing and its sub-dimensions are based on age, gender, professional years of work, unit, reflecting current information on nursing care, membership in associations, reading scientific publications or journals, participating in a certified course, doing scientific work or participating in a study group. while it does not change according to; on the other hand, it differs according to the level of education, participating in a scientific meeting or congress, doing scientific research, being a researcher in the research group, using evidence-based nursing practices, receiving training for practices, doing scientific studies or participating in the study group. It has been determined that participating in a scientific meeting or congress and using evidence-based nursing practices have a significant effect on SSRI. It was concluded that the attitudes of the nurses towards evidence-based nursing were much higher than the average, so their attitudes towards evidence-based nursing were quite high. In order to use evidence-based practices more in nursing, it is suggested that evidence-based practice processes should be included more in nursing education, clinical practices and academic research. In future studies, it is suggested that nurses' thoughts should be discussed in more detail with a larger sample group, in terms of different variables of attitude, with qualitative interview method.
