Abstract (EN)
In this research, the impact of children's Internalizing and Externalizing behavior problems on the feeling of knowing (FOK) that is the indicator of metacognitive monitoring was investigated. Participants were 130 healty children aged 8-10 years. Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL/6-18) was used to evaluate children's problem behaviors. Metacognition Test was applied to measure FOK. Executive functions were assessed using the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST), the TBAG form of the Stroop Test, Digit Span Test and Raven Colored Progressive Matrices. Correlation analyses showed that anxiety and somatic complaints which are sub-groups of internalizing behavior problems, aggressive behaviors and oppositional defiant disorder which are sub-groups of externalizing behavior problems are associated with FOK accuracy. Besides, it was demonstrated that FOK accuracy increased with age. Findings were discussed in the context of the related literature.
