Examination of children's intelligence levels in terms of environmental and developmental factors

This study examines children's intelligence levels in terms of environmental and developmental factors. The participants of the study consisted of 988 parents and their children who applied to the UYEP Center for diagnosis between 2016-2023. The data were collected through the application forms filled out by the parents during the application and the Anadolu-Sak Intelligence Scale conducted at the UYEP Center. In the study, Kruskal-Wallis H Test and Mann Whitney U Test were used to examine the relationship between environmental and developmental factors and the intelligence levels of their children. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there was a significant difference between the environmental factors such as parental education level, family structure, number of siblings and school type depending on the intelligence scores of the children. In terms of developmental factors, it was concluded that there is a significant difference between the age at which children began to speak, the age at which they began to read, and the age at which they began to write, but there was no significant difference in the age at which they began to walk.
