Abstract (EN)

Objective: The aim of this study examine the healthy lifestyle behaviors of adolescent childhood cancer survivors and the factors that influence these behaviors Method: Participants consisted of adolescent childhood cancer survivors who are treated at least two years ago, between 10 and 19 years and treated in Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Education-Research Hospital. 116 people, who meet the criteria and agree voluntarily to participate in the study, were included in the research. The data were collected through "Personal Information Form" which includes sociodemographic data and "Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors Scale". Scale developed by Walker, Pender and the validity-reliability study was carried out by Bahar and et all. Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the scale is .92. Data was analyzed with significance test of difference between two means and one-way variance analysis. Results: The mean score of the healthy lifestyle behaviors scale of participations found to be 137.57±20.57 and between sub-groups the highest mean score is spiritual development (27.30±3.86) and the lowest mean score is physical activity (18.38±4.25). Male adolescents diet scores (x=22, 44) higher than woman adolescents diet scores (x=20, 82). Physical activity and nutrition average score increase with education level. Conclusion: Health promotion life- style of adolescent childhood cancer survivors was generally found to be medium level in this study.
