Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to examine the spiritual development of children and the development of their conception of God, and to reveal the advice that parents need to nourish their children religiously and spiritually. For this purpose, "ChildFaith: Experiencing God and Spiritual Growth with Your Children" written by Donald Ratcliff and his wife Brenda Ratcliff is examined. The research consists of three parts with an introduction. In the introduction, the problem, subject, importance, method, scope and limitations of the research are explained. In the next part, the conceptual framework of the research is established. The concepts of spirituality, spiritual development and the conception of Allah, which are frequently used in research, are explained in this part. In the third part, after a general information about the book in question, the book is examined in terms of the determined criteria. As a result of the study, a number of recommendations were found for parents who want to teach their children religion and spirituality. These recommendations are detailed in the research as well as in the book. In the conclusion part, the perspectives of the book examined on the religious spiritual development of children and their conceptions of Allah are included. Finally, in this part, based on the recommendations in the book, recommendations are made to Muslim parents on child religious education.
