Abstract (EN)

The depletion of natural resources, climate change and natural disasters related to it, rapid population growth, increasing urbanization, development level differences, migration, increasing impoverishment and social inequality have reached high levels in recent years and these problems are increasing with increasing momentum. While ecological problems that exceed the carrying capacity of our planet threaten the life of both nature and human beings, social inequality, the society structure devoid of justice and this deprivation; it results in social order being replaced by disorder and chaos. Turkey's rural plan aims to use natural resources in the most effective manner. Due to the lack of adequate planning in the selection of the location of rural areas, productive agricultural lands threaten and cause these areas to be used for non-agricultural purposes. Therefore, it is extremely important to use technological developments in addition to taking into account technical, economic and social factors in determining the most suitable places in the selection of rural areas. In this study, the most suitable rural settlement area was tried to be determined by using Geographical Information System in Erzincan Province Rural residential area is for technical, social, economic and economic parameters for site selection. The data of these determined parameters are collected and a database is created. Using the Multi-Criteria Decision Making Analysis and Analytical Hierarchy Process method, the most suitable areas for rural settlements in Erzincan Province were determined. In addition, ecological village design was carried out in Çağlayan town center of Erzincan
