This dissertation covers a research conducted with an eye to probing teachers? perception of Geography Class Teaching Program Launched in 2005 School Year.The research was conducted on 237 teachers working at secondary schools selected randomly from cities of Ankara, Adana, Balıkesir, Burdur, Elazığ, Hakkari, Isparta, Karaman, Konya, Mersin and Istanbul in 2007-2008 school year.A questionaire was developed to Assess Geography Class Teaching Program (2005) Based on Teachers? Views. Data in relation to objectives, contents, method, measurement and assessment elements of Geography Class Teaching Program were gathered by way of questionaire.Means and standard deviations of points obtained after getting teachers? views about items were calculated individually. Views were tested by ?t? test. Uni-directional variance analysis (ANOVA) was used to identify the difference between the averages of more than two groups. For cases where ?P? value is significant, (Sheffe) technique was used to identify the underlying reason for such difference. Besides, ordinal scale was used and weighted point method was adopted to make the rankings. Minimum error allowance in this research was taken as 0.05.
