Abstract (EN)

As the constructivist education system has begun to be implemented in our country together with maps, map skills and visual elements that took more place in the educational process has increased the importance of concept maps. Especially in geography classes where there are too many concepts, the teaching technique which is the most effective concept has increased the use of maps. But one of the best ways of knowing whether concept maps are being used sufficiently in secondary school textbooks or not and what kind of concept maps are needed is to get the views of geography teachers who are working in secondary education institutions. With this research, the concept maps in the geography textbooks which is the most important teaching material of the education and training process was evaluated that what is the current situation by referring to the teacher's views. The population of the research is geography teachers who are working in secondary education institutions. The sample is geography teachers who are working in Yakutiye-Palandöken-Aziziye districts of Erzurum.
