Abstract (EN)
In this study, the relationship between multidimensional jealousy, early maladaptive schemas and difficulties in emotion regulation was examined. In addition, it was examined whether jealousy differs according to gender, economic status and educational status. The sample of the study consists of 414 people between the ages of 18-65 who have internet access. Multidimensional Jealousy Scale, Young Schema Scale Short Form-3 and Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale Short Form were used to measure related subjects. Pearson Product-Moment Correlation, Simple Regression Analysis and One-Way ANOVA Analysis were applied to determine the relationship between the variables. As a result of the research, it was found that jealousy and abandonment and defectiveness schemas were associated with higher levels. In addition, emotional deprivation and approval seeking schemas were found to predict jealousy. It has been determined that there is a positive relationship between emotional jealousy and approval seeking, and between behavioral jealousy and cognitive jealousy and all schemas. In addition, it has been observed that jealousy can differ according to educational status, gender and economic status. It was found that difficulties in emotion regulation in behavioral jealousy was more related to the "impulse" sub-dimension, and in cognitive jealousy, it was more related to the sub-dimensions of "openness", "nonacceptance" and "strategies".
