Estimation of exterior thermal insulation costs of multi-storey reinforced concrete buildings: A model example

Heat; In environments with different interacting temperatures, it tends to move from the environment where the temperature is higher to the environment where the temperature is lower. Thermal insulation is manufactured in buildings in order to prevent this heat transfer and provide a comfortable living space. Estimating the cost has always been important for employers and contractors, both in the design and application stages, and in this thesis study, a modeling has been created to predict the cost of exterior thermal insulation. In the study; Information about thermal insulation, properties of materials and systems used in thermal insulation, thermal insulation application details and cost calculation methods to be used in the study is given. Three different multi-storey reinforced concrete projects used in the study; Assuming that XPS, EPS and rock wool exterior thermal insulation materials of different thicknesses were applied, exterior thermal insulation costs were analyzed using the necessary figures and tables with the unit price method and regression analysis method according to market prices in February 2024 and to what extent the thermal insulation cost affected the building cost. It has been examined that the effect Prices of different thermal insulation materials and systems; They were compared according to the unit price method and the regression analysis method, and the performance of the modeling was evaluated by looking at the error rates. The aim of the study is; In case different thermal insulation systems are applied in multi-storey reinforced concrete projects, the aim will be to create a model with regression analysis to determine the cost for each system and to determine the cost in advance based on this model in planned multi-storey reinforced concrete projects.
