Abstract (EN)

Genetic Algorithm is a method used in the form of simulation of the theory of evolution on a computer. It is part of artificial intelligence applications. The use of genetic algorithms in civil engineering applications has not yet become widespread. The genetic algorithm is based on the principle of arranging randomly selected individuals according to the success order and changing the chromosomes that make up the individuals, creating new individuals with the basic characteristics of the anchestors, and continuing this process sequentially until an adequate approach is provided. With this method, a kind of virtual natural selection is created. The generated natural selection is performed on chromosomes stored in computer memory, similar to natural populations. In this text, it is aimed to find the critical one of the different normal force-moment combinations obtained under different live load combinations in multi-storey structures using genetic algorithm technique. Since there is no analytical method with which the study can be compared, it was first shown that the algorithm gave correct results in general and it was transferred as the infrastructure of the study.
