Abstract (EN)

Electromagnetic interference has become an important issue with developing technology. The devices can interact with each other or are exposed to an external electromagnetic wave. The shielding effectiveness performance of the devices against external electromagnetic waves has become an important field of study. From this point of view, it is aimed to investigate the electromagnetic fields and the shielding effectiveness performance of an aircraft on its axis with a matrix approach created by using the Bessel and Neumann functions. Equations are created by considering the aircraft as a cylindrical shell. The results of the mathematical model have been verified by comparing the results of the model established in the CST electromagnetic simulation program. In addition, a new design has been introduced by analyzing the parameters determining the shielding effectiveness of civil and military vehicles, aircraft and helicopters' windows against high amplitude electromagnetic fields. In the design, it is aimed to obtain a composite material by embedding a mesh of fiber rods into materials such as PVB or TPU, which are used to bind the glass together and increase the mechanical strength of the glass. First of all, a composite panel design is considered. The aim of the design is to reinforce the binding material of the aircraft window(PVB, TPU) by embedding a mesh of fiber rods. The effective electrical parameters are obtained via composite panel design. The shell of the cylinder is considered to be made of reinforced aircraft window and cylindrical calculations and 3D modeling were performed via the effective parameters of composite panel. Thus, the shielding effectiveness provided by the reinforced glass panel in the cylindrical shell has been shown. It is clear that the shielding effectiveness results obtained by the mathematical model and simulation are compatible. The advantage of the method using the mathematical model is that the application of any parameter changes and the calculation takes place quickly.
