Abstract (EN)
Abundance of natural resources is one of the main steps for the development level of a country. Progress of industrialization has a parallelism with the consumption of every single natural element (soil, water, air, flora, wildlife, etc.). However, importance given by industrialized countries to those geo-environmental values contributed to technological progress with urbanization, and this enabled planners to prepare plans and analyses, and to produce solutions for future possible usage of natural resources without destroying them. On the other hand, ecosystem changes appear over natural resources, which are not thought be finished, due to unplanned construction caused by the legal gaps, rentiership and wrong development plans. For this reason, Golbasi, Mogan, and Eymir lakes, the most important basin of Ankara is declared as SEP (Special Environmental Protection) zone in 1991. In this study, changes in natural resources in this area from 1992 to 2008 are examined according to remote detection with CBS database and past and contemporary territorial usage maps. Moreover, the zone is separated and graded to five different micro-sections according to the priorities of the protection of geo-environmental values, with the usage of AHP statistical model among multi ? criteria analysis techniques through these changes. Suggestions for planning are developed through the evaluation of map for protection priorities prepared according to the results of the analyses. The most significant changes during the sixteen-year period in territorial usage are seen in inhabited areas with an increase of 1703 ha, and a relevant decrease of 1815 ha happened in agricultural areas, forest areas, open areas. In addition, an increase of 643 ha is detected in the areas of industrial facilities and storage despite the territory is declared as a protection zone. These changes are happened in geological aquifer zones and aquifer recharge areas and therefore cause pollution in water resources.
