Abstract (EN)
In Turkey, which has forests sensitive to fire, studies on the creation of GIS-based forest fire risk models for forest areas are increasing. However, there are no studies in the literature on how the results match up with the actual fires. In the Manavgat District, large-scale forest fires occurred in July and August 2021. With this thesis, a comparison of forest fires in recent and previous years with GIS-based forest fire risk models will be made. It will be revealed how the GIS-based forest fire risk models, which are made to minimize the damages that may occur in forest fires and contribute to the fire management decision support process, overlap with the forest fires that have occurred, the data obtained in the GIS environment is weak, and whether there are aspects that need to be improved.
