Outranking methods in multiple criteria decision making problems: Appliance in the entrepreneurship and innovative university index

In this study, outranking methods are explained in general for multi-criteria decision making problems and ORESTE method is applied to entrepreneur innovative university index. When considered in firms terms of decision-making that are frequently encountered in daily life, multi-criteria decision-making analysis is the type of decision that is widely used in decision problems. The outranking methods that provide effective benefits to decision makers are often used in cases where the number of alternatives is high. The ORESTE method, which is one of the outranking methods in the study, is presented with an appliance in the entrepreneurial university index. Entrepreneurial and innovative university indexing universities have been established by TÜBİTAK in order to achieve a succession rank according to the determined indicators. As a result of this indirection ORESTE application, different results were obtained from the order described by TÜBİTAK.
