Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, the fact that the informatics sector pioneers the developments in other sectors reveals that the sector cannot be ignored and that the technological developments continue unceasingly indicates that the informatics sector will continue. Conducting financial analyzes in firms is of great importance in making decisions about the firm and in the process of forecasting the future situation for both the executives of the internal stakeholders and the external stakeholder investors in terms of revealing the financial situation of the firm. Considering that the use of financial analysis techniques alone is not sufficient, Multi Criteria Decision Making Techniques are included in the study in order to interpret the information obtained from ratio analyzes in a healthier manner. For this purpose, the information sector was examined and TOPSIS and VIKOR, one of the ranking methods, were ranked according to the financial performance of the companies listed on the BIST IT sector. In the first part of the study, financial analysis techniques are mentioned and ratio analysis of these techniques is explained in detail. In the second part, Multi Criteria Decision Making Techniques are explained and TOPSIS and VIKOR methods to be used in the application are discussed and their history and usage steps are discussed in detail. In the third part, in order to include ratio analysis, which is one of the financial analysis techniques of the firms in the IT sector, the balance sheets of firms are examined and ratio ratios are calculated. These ratios were taken as a criterion in the evaluation with multi-criteria decision-making techniques, and TOPSIS and VIKOR were applied and the ranking process was performed. In line with the results, it has been observed that the firm performances vary according to years and the Multi Criteria Decision Making Technique used makes a difference in the results.
