Active and reactive power control based on intelligent controller at micro hydro power plant

Özet (EN)

There are many small water potential waiting for being used in our country and so by this study, a prototype micro hydro power plant design and production has been carried out to contribute in the electric production of the country by benefiting this potential. During the design and production of the system, simplified computations have been used. Construction of prototype was done by local facilities. The aim is to show the feasibility of these systems and to draw attention of the small company towards this way.In this study, a micro hydro power plant which has hydraulic, mechanic and electrical features that are close to a real hydroelectric plant with a pelton turbine has been made up. Additionally, the numerical simulation of a pelton turbine has been done by nonlinear model and has been made by a method developed in close to reality.For the local working state of the prototype, an adaptive voltage control that is independent of frequency has been made. The adaptive controller has been carried out by the parameters of PI and PID which are calculated by fuzzy logic controller.The control of frequency has been done by a PI build which is rendered an adaptive state by the technique of High Gradient Stopping (HGS). Afterwards, this build has been improved one step further and adaptive control structure was implemented with fuzzy logic controller, the frequency control has been done by an adaptive controller with fuzzy logic controller, the voltage has been made by both PI and PID controller. The generator has been observed in different load states and the results have been obtained as graphic. PLC S7-300 has been used for the control of the system.
