The developments of social studies education curriculum from the multi national party regime till present

In this research called ?The Developments in Social Studies Curriculum? the primary curriculum published from multiple party period to nowadays and the aim, content, education and examining situations and textbooks of afrosaid period were examined. Generally it is tried to find an answer to theis guestion:What kind changes and developments became in the forth and fifth class of the primary school social studies curriculum of 1948, 1962, 1968, 1998 and 2005 also in the aims and aimed behaviors, content, education situation and examining situation of the social studies textbooks prepared in an adaptable way to the social studies curriculum of the forth and fifth class of 1948, 1968, 1998 and 2005.The research includes five parts. The first part is ?Introduction?, the second part is ?Relevant Publication and Researches?, the third part is ?Method?, the forth part is ?Inventions and Comments?, and the fifth part is ?Results and Suggestions.At the end of the research it was realized that except the social studies curriculum of 2005 there became changes in the principles of the curriculum which were the aims content and education situations but the principle of examining situations were neglected; also the social studies curriculum of 2005 was formed in an adabtable way to contemporary curriculum developing principles and techniques but the substructure, stocks of the schools had to be suitable for the new curriculum, the teachers period and frequency of taking part inservice training relevant to conformity with the new curriculum had to be increased in order that the they could have a positive attitude toward to the curriculum.In the books prepared in a suitable way for the primary social studies curriculum of 1948, 1968 and 1998 the content wasn?t put into order in a suitable way for the aims and because of that the students had a lot of unnecessary knowledge. In the books prepared in a suitable way for the primary social studies curriculum of 2005 the content was put into order in a suitable way for the aims. There were made great changes in the social studies curriculum and the text books, because the application and analysis came first in the new curriculum the amount of the knowledge in the textbooks decreased and the activities books were prepared in addition to textbooks.
