The practices of transition to the multi-party (political) life (1923-1938)

The assets of political parties are natural in the country which are on the basis of national sovereignty and particularly has a Republican administration. The people who will be working in the administration of the country and parties have to have real aims and power in their soul. They have to work the wealthy of the society, not for the benefits of individuals.The real democracy for Turkey is Ataturk?s in principles and especially in policy of populism. For this reason, the real democracy reaches the true valve of it by choosing the individuals who represent the views of the people in the best way and who has the best way and who has the self-esteem to put forward his opinions freely.In this case, between the years 1923-1938 the practices of transition to the multi-party life was done. Transition to multi-party political life have been tried for the first time by the establishment of Progressive Republican Party in opposition on the Republican People?s Party which was the first political party of Republic of Turkey?s. After that, transitions to multi-party political life have been tried by the establishment of Free Republican Party, Turkish Republic Workers and Workers' Party and secular Republican Party of Workers? and Farmers? Party. Social factors and external agents are among the reasons for the failure of these trials.In the process which was started with the declaration of republic, one party government tried to be applied by Progressive Republican Party after the practices of transition to multi-party political life. In 1946 with the establishment of the Democratic Party, Republic of Turkey has achieved success in the transition to multi-party political life.
