Abstract (EN)

After humankind started living together the concept of culture occurred and got meaningful after the communities were differentiated. This concept contains lots of aspects and finds itself a role in companies with different working styles. Once there was a distance between nations, with the effects of globalization and the development of new technologies the distance between nations disappeared. This caused the companies to open new branches in new countries and became multinational. With every new branch they opened, multinational companies faced new cultures different than theirs. The differences between countries and cultures correspondingly caused a new research area to be developed. Also, it was found that these cultural differences have direct effects on the company's success and continuity. With these findings organisational culture gained more importance and it caused a need for creating new models. One of the leading models which is divided into some aspects belongs to Prof. Hofstede. These aspects were investigated in same company's different branches. In this research the organisational culture model of Hosftede was researched and interviews (as a research methodology) were made with two of the multional companies from Telecommunications sector in Turkey. One of the companies is from one of the eastern cultures – China – while the other one is from one of the western cultures – United Kingdom.
