Abstract (EN)
Aim: The aim of this study is trying to understand the social integration process of Yezidi refugee youngs in the context of multiculturalist social work. Materials and Methods: This qualitative study carried out by using the grounded theory strategy was conducted in Diyarbakır, Mardin, and Batman provinces. The sampling was carried out with the snowball sampling method. The sample consisted of 20 Yezidi regugee youngs who are between the ages of 18-24. The data were collected by means of ''in-depth interview'' technique using ''semi-structured interview form''. The data were analyzed with ''constant comperative analysis'' method. Findings: In this study, it has been seen that socio-demographic characteristics of the participants affect their social integration process. Two main themes including multiculturalism and social integration on the basis of values, emerged as a result of the study. In addition to this, the first and most important one of the most remarkable findings is that Yezidi refugee youngs have seen Europe more multicultural and safe. Secondly the importance of the spiritual approach emerged in social work. Finally it was found that social integration should also take place with the aesthetic-based approach as well as the knowledge and moral-based approaches in the context of multiculturalist social work. Results: The results of this study show the importance of recognition of diversities, social cohesion and solidarity in social integration with anti-oppression/discrimination approach.
