Özet (EN)

Today, technological developments are triggers for the growth of traffic volume. The rise in traffic causes congestions and delays for air traffic management. Therefore, handling airspace in safe, efficient and effective is one of the basic goals of air traffic management. In this study, Multiple Arrival Routes Point Merge (MAR-PM) model is proposed in order to sequence and schedule arrival traffics safely and efficiently in dense airspace. The proposed model enables the additional arrival routes that have an angular difference to each sequencing legs. Validation and verification analyzes of the proposed model (MAR-PM) were conducted in the real-time air traffic simulation environment. In addition, 0-1 integer programming modeling of the MAR-PM model was implemented and subsequently Java-Based Software was developed to determine the route planning for optimal sequencing and assigning arrival routes. The proposed MAR-PM model was compared to basic PMS in terms of flight distance, flight time, fuel consumption and CO2 emission. As a result of the analysis, it was observed that the proposed MAR-PM model minimized the delay resulting in holding, provided a reduction in the flight distance and the flight time. Moreover, owing to the enhancement of flight distance and flight time, a reduction in the fuel consumption as well as in CO2 emissions were obtained.
