Chemometric and graphical method development for the quantitatif analiysis of multi component drugs

Abstract (EN)
A new method was developed for the determination of the ternary mixtures in the pharmaceutical tablet preparations. The selected drug combination fort he application of this new method is aspirin, acetaminophen and caffeine. Developed method contains ratio derivative and zero-crossing. The calculated results were compared with the results that obtained using chemometric methods namely PLS, PCR and CLS. In all the procedures, the calibration plots are liner up to 40 ug/ml for each drug, with r ranging from 0.9970 to 1.0000. In the ratio-spectra and chemometric methods, the measurements were taken between 210 and 300 nm. For ratio-derivative method zero crossings were obtained at 265 nm, 217 nm and 222 nm. And related calibration curves were prepared by using these points. All the statistical parameters were calculated including limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantitation (LOQ). LOD and LOQ were found, respectively, from 0.0550 to 0.8066, and from 0.1834 to 4.0254 ug/ml. All the samples were tested for stability in solution and in the course of actual analysis and solutions were prepared just before the measurement. The developed ratio-derivative spectrophotometric method and chemometric methods were applied to synthetic mixtures and the RSD values ranged between 0.39 and 3.40 % for ratio-derivative and 2.00 and 5.60 % for chemometric methods. The recoveries were obtained between 99.1 and 100.6 % (ratio-spectra) and between 99.0 ve 101.0 % (chemometric methods). The procedure is simple, rapid, and did not require any preliminary separation or treatment of the samples.
