The influence of multiple intelligence theory regarding secondary school 9th grade students on course subject basic components of living beings based upon the students academic achievement

This study was carried out to compare the differences between traditional teaching method and the teaching method that has prepared according to Multiple Intelligence Theory upon the lecture of ?Basic Components of Living Beings? on learning levels of secondary school 9th grade students.In research pretest-posttest control group experimental research pattern was used. As the study group in 2009-2010 academic year, the province of Kayseri in private Eras College randomly selected from secondary school 9th-grade students. 9/A was designated as the experimental group, while 9/B class as the control group. Experimental and control groups have balanced against each other and 30 students took part in the study 15 each. Study performed 28 hours and two hours of pre-and post-test with the implementation took a total 30 hours. Teaching method that has prepared according to Multiple Intelligences Theory was used to the experimetal group for teaching the ?Basic Components of Livings Things? while subject to control group were processed by traditional teaching methods. Applications were made by researcher.In collecting data, the Basic Components of Living Components Academic Achievement Test has been used. The analysis of the data obtained from the 16.0 SPSS package program; t-test for independent groups and dependent groups were applied.The results obtained in the 0.05 significance level was assessed. At the end of the research by comparing the results it has been identified that experimental group that teaching method that has prepared according to Multiple Intelligences Theory gain more academic achievement than control group that traditional teaching method was used.
