Abstract (EN)
The family of Columbidae is represented with 8 species and 1 subspecies (Columba livia domestica) in Turkey. Columba livia domestica has a lot of races which are different morphologies with the studies of culture from this subspecies.In this study, karyological analysises of Columba livia domestica?s Adana, Bayburt and Corum races were studied. Karyotype analysis were carried out with feather pulp cells. Races are found to be diploid with 2n=80 chromosomes. The karyotypes of these races consist of 9 pairs macrochromosomes.
