Abstract (EN)
In this study, the anatomical and histological structure of the adult male and female reproductive systems of Coreus marginatus (Linnaeus, 1758) were examined by light microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM). As a result of these examinations, it has been seen that, the male reproductive system of C. marginatus consists of a pair of testes, a pair of vasa deferentia, a pair of seminal vesicles, ectodermal and mesodermal accessory glands, bulbus ejaculatorius, ectodermal sac, a single muscular ejaculatory duct and aedeagus. Each testis contains 7 follicles, which aligned parallel to one another. In this follicles, 3 different zones (growth zone, maturation zone and differentiation zone) are distinguished. In these zones, the cell differentiation from spermatogonia to spermatozoa was observed. The female reproductive system of C. marginatus consists of a pair of ovaries, a pair of lateral oviducts, common oviduct, vagina, accessory glands and spermatheca. Each ovary contains 7 telotrophic-meroistic ovarioles that consist of a terminal filament, germarium and vitellarium. The spermatheca of C. marginatus is characterized by a spermathecal bulb, a pumping region, a flange, spermathecal duct and sclerites. In the direction of results, the anatomical and histological differences in male and female reproductive systems of C. marginatus were revealed.
