Özet (EN)

The tourism industry plays a key role in developing countries. The tourism sector, which maintains its social, political and economic ties at the international level, is rapidly affected by global developments. In addition to the factors that improve tourism such as destination attractiveness, pricing, advertising and marketing, there are also some factors that negatively affect tourism. Events such as terrorism, war and natural disasters that plague the world have devastating effects on tourism organizations. A new epidemic emerging today is the COVID-19 virus. The coronavirus, whose first cases appeared in Turkey at the end of March 2020, brought many problems with it. Not knowing how long this effect will last and how long it will continue raises concerns in the tourism sector. Data collection was carried out between 01 April 2021 and 30 September 2021 using structured interview forms. Interview forms were sent to the e-mail addresses of the participants. However, since there was no return except for two hotel operators and one boat tour operator, face-to-face meetings were held with other participants by making an appointment. Although the participants, who were given the opportunity to meet face to face, were requested to have the interview recorded, the participants stated that they did not look forward to the recording business. The interview forms were filled by the participants themselves, and intervention was avoided as much as possible. When inconsistent answers were noticed after the interview, the question was re-directed to the participant so that he could understand the question well. Descriptive analysis technique was used in the analysis of the data. For this, first of all, a framework was created for the conceptual structure of the research and data analysis from the interviews, and in the second stage, the data were organized. In the third stage, the data were defined and in the last stage, the findings were explained, correlated and interpreted by making sense. The interview questions in the study were examined in three categories. The first category is "Assessment of Tourism Activities in the Period Before the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Outbreak in Turkey", the second is "Evaluation of Tourism Activities in the Process Experienced with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Epidemic in Turkey and the First Case" and the third is "Coronavirus (Evaluation of Tourism Activities After the COVID-19 Epidemic". According to the answers of the participants included in the research, the main result of the research is that there was not much demand in line with the bans imposed on tourism enterprises during the period when the corona virus started, but the demands increased immediately after the normalization process and the enterprises continued their services without any problems by complying with the measures.
