Abstract (EN)

Introduction and Aim: One person loses his life in each minute in the world. The number of the murdered is more than five times than the people who died in the regions in uhich wars cud battles occur worlvide. In this study, it is aimed to present thedemografic data and to search fort he risky cases with the analysis of the results by stating the murder cases happened in Çorum in terms of varicus descriptions. Materials and Methods: The data contained in this study have been formed by using both in newspapers in Çorum and newspapers around the country. The data in our study have been classified after analysize by examining the murder news. The statistical analysis have been substantiated with SPSS program (version 22.0, SPSS Inc. Chicago, IL, USA, the degree: Hitit University) in the examination of the data. Evidences: The rate of the victims in Çorum to the population of it is lower than the rate of the victims globally to the world. The big majiority of murdered are men. While the age range of the victims is about 10-29 ages, the age range of doers in about between 30-44 ages. The most of murder cases were comitted by usingfirearms. The murder comitted by one hostile is the most encountered reason. The victims were killed mostly by their friens or someone that is familiar with. The Result: According to the results of our data, it has been seen that the prevalence of murder in Çorum province is below the world average, men commit more murders than women and are exposed to more murders. We believe that by analyzing murder data, risk situations can be determined and preventive measures can be taken, and more extensive data can be obtained by collaborating with judicial authorities.
