Abstract (EN)

Research area covers 24 km2 land about the north of the Gökçedoğan Village which is located at the east of Kargı, a town of the province Çorum. In the study area six main rock groups are distinguished. These are from bottom to the top as follows; a) Bekirli formation b) Kargı ophiolites c) Saraycık formation d) Beşpınar formation e) Ilgaz formation and f) Alluvium Mineralization occured through a defined direction in Saraycık Formation and a new possible ore deposit are tried to be conceived with their models. In this research, origins of the iron and copper occurances in the research area are analysed by examining nearest rock and mineralisation features. Pyrite, sphalerite and chalcopyrite minerals are observed in matrix with silicate and carbonate, on the works with ore microscopy. These minerals turn into the hematite or gothite minerals partially or completely. Furthermore, there are lots of accessory minerels observed in supergene stage such as malachite, magnetite and covellite. In this study, 50 samples collected in study area, were analyzed for main and trace elements, and were defined using by diagrams. Samples which were taken in alteration zone seeing mineralization, were determined alteration level as chloritization, carbonation and epidot alteration. Field studies and analysis show that; the massif sulfide bedding which are seen barium and lead enrichment from below mantle collied oceanic crust to continental crust, developed by ophiolites belong generated in trench of Neo Tethys subduction zone, in the middle ocean ridges.
