Abstract (EN)
This study has been done with the aim of use of Corum region mountain soil in the production of tile and brick and predisposition of these raw materialas to production. In the study, geology of the region and mineral sources also the features of raw materials used have been examined. The samples taken have been reduced, and 17 test samples have been defined. First, physical and chemical tests have been done on the defined samples. As a result of the tests, suitability of the samples as tile and brick raw metarials has been checked. After the determination of tecnical featuras of field samples, by being done mixtures in ratio of percentage technical featuras have been improved. In genaral inthe samples, they have been indentifiaed that yhe ratio of water absorption is high, and resistance is lou, and colours are not suitable. For this purpose, the contibution of Seydisehir Red Mud has been used with the aim improving the disadvantages in the samples. Additions have been in ratio of 2,5,8 and 10 percent. When the technical features of the samples prepared with additions have been examined, it is determined that red mud contribution has done pasitive effects on features such as deformation, water absorption and resistance especially in ratio of betveen 2 and 5 addition percents. In the comparisions of technical have been done with mixture samples, that have been defined in field and mixture samples have predisposed has been identitied. As a result, the technical features of Corum region mountain soil have been improved with mixtures. But the addition of red mud thed has been applied to the raw materials which have npt reached to the required fetures has had great contribution in technical features has had great contribution in technical features has had great contribution in technical feature and colour formation.
