Covid-19 salgininda adölesanlarin (11-18 yaş) sağliğini koruma ve sürdürmeye yöneli̇k anneleri̇n gereksi̇ni̇mleri̇ni̇n beli̇rlenmesi̇

Aim: This study was conducted to determine the needs of mothers for protecting and driving the health of adolescents in the COVID-19 outbreak. Method: The study was planned descriptively in order to examine the needs of mothers to protect and maintain their adolescent children in the COVID-19 outbreak. Research datas were done with using Qualtrics online data collection tool between 1-31 May 2020. In the collection of research data, two form is used. First one is '' Mother-Child Information Form '' which is included questions regarding the characteristics of the mother and adolescent. Second one is '' Survey on the Determination of Practices and Requirements for Health Protection and Sustainability '' which is included questions about protecting and maintaining health in the outbreak process. In statical analyses of collecting datas, Pearson Ki-Kare (χ2), Mann Whitney-U ( 2 Independent Samples) test and Correlation Analyze are used. Results: The average age of the mothers participating in the study is between 42.6 ± 6.7. 65.8% of adolescents' age are between 14-18. Junk food consumption of 36.6% of adolescents and food consumption of 35.6% of adolescents increased during the outbreak process. %70.2 of adolescents are less active phsically in this period and %76.4 of adolescent sleeps late. It was found that 78.3% of adolescents were exposed to more than 2 hours of screen time per day. 69.6% of the mothers have information needs to protect and maintain their child's health during the outbreak. Conclusion: As a result of the research, it was determined that mothers have information needs about the outbreak and adolescents' behavior towards maintaining and maintaining their health was negatively affected by the outbreak.
